Southeastern Europe Telecommunications & Informatics Research Institute - INA

Southeastern Europe Telecommunications and Informatics Research Institute (INA) was set up in 2000 on the initiative of the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (FING). INA is an organization designed to facilitate investment in the South-Eastern Europe (SEE) telecom and informatics markets by analysing regional market trends, enhancing the exchange of technological expertise and facilitating the development of a harmonised regulatory framework.

INA participates in a number of initiatives facilitating the technological development in the SEE region (including the Stability Pact, SECI, UNDP, UNECE, ITU), while maintaining close links with key actors in the telecom and informatics markets, from the industry, the academia, the policy makers and the telecom regulators. INA publishes reports and studies that analyse the ICT market environment in SEE, examines the ICT regulatory and institutional framework and the prospects of future initiatives and facilitates the transfer of knowledge and best practices in the region. INA, through the established INA Academy network in SEE, organizes conferences, workshops and training seminars on ICT issues.
