The main object of this project is the creation of an Observatory
for the Internationalization of Greek companies from the following
sectors: a) Textiles & Clothing, and b) Food & Beverages in
F.Y.R.O.M.
The aim of this Observatory is to reinforce the business
competitiveness of Greek companies, from the aforementioned sectors,
which are located in F.Y.R.O.M., by conducting research and studies,
undertaking training of company executives, and organising
technology transfer meetings and seminars, as well as creating a
website to provide overall support for the project.
Within the framework of this project the following actions were
taken:
1. research: a) to identify the incentives, benefits and
internationalization strategies of Greek companies, which have set
up subsidiaries in F.Y.R.O.M. or which conduct business in general
in F.Y.R.O.M., and b) to investigate the fields and sectors in
F.Y.R.O.M. with potential for developing cross-border business
co-operation,
2. business and know-how transfer meetings between Greek
entrepreneurs and their counterparts in F.Y.R.O.M. in order to
strengthen cross-border co-operation and investigate the possibility
of setting up joint investment ventures in the eligible regions in
F.Y.R.O.M.,
3. awareness-raising seminars about international business
co-operation, targeted at executives from companies located in
F.Y.R.O.M.,
4. creation and management of a website in order to disseminate the
Observatory’s work and promote cross-border business co-operation,
5. publication of informational material to promote cross-border
business relations, give details related to the relevant investment
procedures and environment in the selected regions, and provide any
other information deemed useful and of interest for the target
audience and potential beneficiaries of the project.
Project Actions
This project comprises of the following actions:
1. conducting the following research: a) internationalization
incentives for Greek companies from selected sectors (Textiles &
Clothing, Food & Beverages) and b) identification of fields and
sectors in F.Y.R.O.M. with growth potential.
2. training of company executives, organization of events and
technology transfer meetings, publication of informational leaflet
and creation of project website.
The Project is part of the O.P. ITERREG IIIA GREECE – F.Y.R.O.M.
75% cofinanced by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
and 25% cofinacned by National Resources
Ministry of Economy and Finance - General Secretariat for
Investments and Development.
